In 2018, my wife & I had to move our Mother from her beloved home of 90 years to the valley where we live- 300 miles away! She had developed dementia and my wife has moved in with her but, due to health issues, could not properly take care of her. I had been searching, in Tulare county, for a suitable home, affordably priced but one that  offered compassionate& loving care. Someone recommended Glory Days, and I called Melinda and met that afternoon. One we got all the paperwork done we brought my MIL, Joyce, to her new home. Upon walking in she fell in love with the home and that love continued to grow for the 5 years she eventually stayed! All of the workers treated Joyce like family and paid attention to her smallest needs, from a drop in energy, less socializing or a bump on her arm. She received compassionate care that warmed our hearts. I had gone through a similar experience w/my dad (in a different town) and my observation was that the majority of homes for the aged were “death repositories;” not true for Glory Days: Gloria & Melinda (Mother & Daughter) have developed a home where “care” is given - not talked about. The workers - ALL of them - are loyal, kind, loving & ENJOY what they do!! Every holiday was special Glory Days and when we came the place was decorated & replete with the theme of the holiday and the ladies LOVED IT!! Joyce loved, not only the caretakers but the food - all homemade - that was served 3 times a day (snacks were also provided). When my MIL started to decline we were contacted and appropriate changes were made. The hospice they partnered with was excellent and really helped when we were nearing the end. I would highly recommend Glory Days to anyone seeking a place for their loved one, not just to “waste away” and pine away the hours, but to be loved, nurtured & cared for!!

My mom spent her final days at Glory Days and I am so very grateful for the loving, knowledgeable and personal care they provided for her and my family. I live in Oregon and Melinda was so extremely helpful in communicating with my brothers and I to keep us informed about mom. My dad was having a really hard time with the separation from mom and they were so patient and thoughtful with him too. This facility is very clean and efficiently run and they really care about their ladies. I highly recommend them. They were certainly a blessing to us when we needed them so desperately. Thank you Melinda, Natalie and Gloria! You feel like family to me and you have no idea how grateful I am. Glory Days was a true home away from home for me and my family. A lot of families come to the point where they can no longer witness the heartache of seeing their parent declining with frequent trips in and out of the hospital. When I realized my 93 year old mother needed more care than we could provide I wanted to find a place that felt safe, trustworthy and like home. That's when I found Glory Days. Immediately I was attracted to the fact that Glory Days was a lovely home owned by a mother and daughter. The environment at Glory Days is warm and inviting, it's beautiful outdoor space felt like a breath of fresh air compared to the stark hospital settings we had been used to. Glory Days gave me another year with my mother that I might not have had if she were elsewhere. My mother was at Glory Days for several years and we couldn’t have been more happy with the care that was given to her and the other residents. It’s definitely a loving family atmosphere unlike one of the bigger facilities which my mother had also lived in for awhile.  After that we checked out several other facilities upon which we were  fortunate enough to have chosen Glory Days. At Glory Days the residents and their families are  always treated with the upmost respect. The house itself was always spotless and inviting. The home cooked meals always looked appetizing and nutritious and smelled delicious. I can’t say enough about the staff. They were amazing and made us feel welcome each and every time. They kept the families informed about everything. You will have no worries about your loved ones in the care of such wonderful people. We were so blessed and fortunate that our mother was able to spend as much time there as she did. I just can’t say enough great things about Glory Days.
